2003 F4i - Problem finding correct Stator

Wonder if anyone can help.

A good friend is having issues finding the correct replacement stator for their 2003 F4i

Everyone that has arrived is smaller than the one fitted to the bike.

They have the correct outside diameter of 107mm
They have the correct inside diameter of 42mm

It is the thickness of the core that is different.
The OEM one has a 24mm thick core

The replacement ones are arriving with either an 18mm or 21mm thick core and are not giving out enough power.

I have discovered that the OEM unit is exactly the same size as a Honda Blackbird one but with different connectors and rubber seals for the stator case.

Has anyone successfully bought an aftermarket stator that is the correct size and has the correct seals/plug fitted ?

Are you getting OEM units? I recently got one from bikebandit.

We are across the pond in the UK so Bikebandit is not really practical.

The OEM units here in the UK are over £300 GBP

The two popular aftermarket suppliers are Electrosport and Electrex ( I wish we had a Ricks over here )
These guys do replacements at around £80 GBP.

If needed - we could get a blackbird one and swap the rubber/plugs over but that would void any warranty.

Sometimes it's worth the extra cost to get the right one the first time.

Have you called either supplier?
