2003 F4i electrical problems??

Hey guys me and a friend have been trying to trouble shoot a problem I have been having with my bike the past few months. The problems started after I lowsided going around a corner. The frame sliders took all the damage on the side, but the front fairing got cracked up quite a bit and had to be replaced. Right after the accident happened we stood the bike up and checked it out. tried to start it, but it wouldnt. It was as if the battery died. We were able to push start it though. I rode the bike home and and charged the battery over night and the bike started fine the next day, but then after a day or two of riding the battery would die again. So I replaced the battery thinking it was messed up from the wreck. After putting in the new battery it had the same problem. It would hold a charge for a few days, and then die. The bike would run fine if I push started it though. I checked the R/R with a volt meter and when the bike is running you can rev it up and its charging the battery. what I have been doing the past few weeks is putting the bike on a trickle charger after I park it when I go for a ride. Well two days ago I decided to ride to work. Bike started up and ran fine, and then when I got off I had to push start the bike cause the battery was dead again. Well about 8 miles into the trip home my bike dies, and wont push start or anything so I called a friend with a truck to come pick me up and when I got home the battery was swollen up. So I took the bike apart over the weekend and used a friends bike battery to try to trouble shoot the problem, and now its blowing the fuse for the fuel pump every time I turn the ignition on and I cant figure out whats causing it to do that. I checked for ground out wires a long the harness but cant seem to find any. Anyone have any ideas as to what could be causing these issues?

did you go down on the left side? the slator/ alternator might have been damaged.

This is what i was thinking too.

OP, run through this diagram with a multimeter. Make sure you charge up the battery first. It will walk you through checking your RR, stator and electrical harnesses

We should really sticky that flowchart ^^

I actually did a search and came upon that diagram, and was going to go through it all, but ever since it died on me on the way home a few days ago, its been burning out the fuel pump fuse everytime I turn the ignition switch on. Any ideas what would cause that? I checked the wiring harness for grounds, but cant seem to find any. I have the day off again tomorrow so I may end up taking the tank off the bike and checking it out a little closer.

Do the easy stuff first. Check all grounds. Check for wire damage. If your blowing fuses then it sounds like wires are crossing. look at the stator. On my 76 cb750 would do the same thing swell the battery. It was the stator. Easy steps first
