You mentioned that you bought it 2nd hand, was that a private sale or from a shop?

If it was from a shop i'd give them a call - if it was private i'd contact the seller to see what gives, see what bike it came off!?

I guess you could chop 10-15mm off the mid pipe or take off the bracket and put a clamp on it.

Or sell it on if you find out what bike it came off and buy another exhaust

You'll need to plug the loom where the o2 sensor connects, otherwise you'll end up with an Fi light on - I think DynoJet sell little plugs...

My 2002 F-Sport in the UK has the o2 sensor eliminators on her.
