Default 2002 CBR F4i PGM-F1 problem

My F1 light is coming on when i am in 5th gear or so at high rpm, when the light turns on my bike cuts out until i let off the throttle, has done it about 3 or 4 times.. was having a problem with my bank angle sensor previously so i bypassed it, not sure if it has anything to do with it, also have a aftermarket hindle exhaust and power commander.. please help

Its FI, as in fuel injection, and its telling you theres a problem [which you can already feel when it cuts out]. Fix your angle sensor and go from there.

Hey idk if we had the same problem but sounded similiar to my bike about a week ago...i was getting weird vibration noises around 6-7k and it was a really jerky ride. FI light also was coming on and then bike shut off...Check to make sure screws on the battery are tight ...Seems to have fixed my problem....Hope this helps!!!

Funny I just posted this in another thread, lol.

There's a black service connector under the seat with two wires. With the key on and kill off connect the two wires with a paper clip. Turn the kill on and the FI light will blink out any stored codes for you. This should give you an idea of what's going on.

I wouldn't head straight for the bank sensor if you've bypassed it... If it is bypassed correctly then that should eliminate it from being a problem.

Default Think I fixed it

Ended up pulling the tank cause I realized there was no fuel getting to the pump, discovered that the fuel filter was totally clogged up. Cleaned it out and put my tank back on. Took a few turns to get fuel into the pump but then started up finally. Hopefully that was the problem

Actually the problem for me ended up being a burnt wire connecetor at the sub harness to main harness, jumped the burnt wire and it fixed it. If that's not the problem replace fuel filter and check fuel lines and fuel pump. Don't really know why the burnt wire was causing the problem but it was the issue. My bike would cut out at high rpms and f1 light would come on then die, then eventually start back up. Good luck and let me know what happens.
