2002 cbr f4i

Hello to all newbie here. I have an 02 F4I which is having a no power problem. I have been reading other posts about how the bank angle sensor or relays or headlight connector might be the cause of no power going to the fuel pump. But also I have no power going to my injectors. All my lights are working correctly. All fuses are good as well, but the fuel pump will not prime. I jumped the fuel pump and it does work, but there is still no power going to my injectors. What else would stop power for the fuel injectors & power to the fuel pump. Any help would be appreciated. :icon_shrug:

Sounds like you did check a few things. Has the bike ever been wrecked or turned over? IF not then, from the sounds of it sounds like the bank sensor is your problem. If the fuel pump is working but not priming that sensor has to work for it to prime. Have you tried to jump that circuit?

Thank you for the reply. The bike was taken apart for polishing. I finally put the bike back together. The bank sensor has 2 power sources, & one ground. One of the power sources has power going to it the other does not. Do I contact those 2 power leads for the jump to bypass the sensor. Would the bank sensor also cut the power to the fuel injectors. Thank you.

I should think so. Why put fuel in the engine when the ignition is off?

Other things you should check is the side stand switch,
and also check that the engine cutout switch on the right handlebar is ON.

good one on that. a buddy of mine did that and we couldn't figure out y his bike wouldn't start for almost 2 hours. Not till another friend jumped on the bike and did his usual checks that were mental ones did we figure it out. We pushed that damn thing for almost 2 miles.

If I jump the two wires from the side stand switch would that bypass it?

Yes that's right. When the stand is up, the circuit is closed.

I just wanted to say to all who had replied to me thank you. The information for checking things was very helpful. BUT get ready to laugh. I was checking the sensor for the kick stand, & I looked up, right there starring me in my face is 1 wire disconnected. Come to find out the wire that was disconnected was the power wire to the fuel cut relay. It is a lesson well learned. the information I received from all of you may one day help me for something else or maybe help someone. Again thank you to all. I will post a pic of the bike soon.
