To retrieve the code, use a piece of wire or paperclip to jump the diagnostic connector under the seat. Turn the key on and count the flashes. Long flashes are 10s, short flashes are 1s. Two long the three short would be code 23.

If you download a service manual, it can explain what to do and what thing mean better than I.

Let us know what code come up.
Thank you. Are these the wires connected to the battery.. and shows out from under the seat with a white socket at the end?

thanks

It should be a connector that comes out of the harness that isn't plugged in to anything. The wires to it should be green and brown.

Hi, Thanks for the support and your time. It looks like a battery problem. I disconnected the battery and reconnected it - I still see all lights lit, but I could able to start it. It stayed on for 5 minutes.. but, the battery appears really weak as the headlight is not able to come up. Anyways, I am going to charge the battery and see. Really weird, as it is a bran new battery and it died while riding.

Thanks again.

Check your charging system to make sure it's charging. If the new battery is dead already, I bet its not...

Looks like that is (low battery) is not the issue. I charged half day and still got the same response. Anyways, towed the bike to Honda shop. Lets see what they come up with.

thanks

Ok Guys, Here is the verdict.. There seems to be a wire/connector that got corroded and melted because of high resistance/heat. That made the display go nuts and did not keep the ignition ON. Anyways, fixing the wire brought back life to my bike. This connector is buried under the gas tank. Wish there is a easy way to tell these kind of issues. The fix itself is quick, but the towing + diagnosis made it big in terms of cost and time.

Anyways, thanks for your help. Hope none of you guys run into the same problem, but if you do - make sure you check the connectors first.

Cheers,
