2001 F4i/F Sport, what's the difference?

My heart's pretty much deadset on the F4i as my next bike for now, but I've noticed there are "CBR 600 F Sports" being sold that, well, they look almost just like the F4i. Is it the same bike, but they gave it a different name overseas or is the F Sport like a non-FI version? I've found CBR600 F Sports MY 2001+ so I'm guessing there's gotta be a reason since Honda also made the F4i's the same year.

I think that is a non USDM designation, but I am not 100% sure. Some guys on here with more knowledge will certainly chime in.

F Sport is the European designation for the F4i. It's the same bike. There may be some differences if there are specific standards that need to be met in various countries. Body-wise, they should be the same minus paint schemes.

If you are in the US or Canada, you should find only F4i and F4 modes (F4 is the 1998-2000 carbureted model).

So if I find a 2001 F Sport, it should be injected, right? They seem to be labeled as both here in Korea, but for some reasons, I'm finding more F Sports that haven't been sold compared to F4i's.

Well, just around a month until I can afford the f4i and I've come across some interesting info. Either the F Sport or the F4i is a limited. Anyone know anything about the asian market F4i's? My Korean isn't that great and after reading some random info, seems one of them is limited to 180 km/h and like 70 hp... at which point it doesn't seem like it would even be worth it to buy.

Also, if these bikes are limited, would it be through some ECU controlled limiter? Would it be easy to fix this limiter? (I.E. just cut/cross/short a wire) Or would I have to get some kind of ECU management?

I would contact a dealer and ask in Korea. I would ASSUME that it's built in to the ECU. You would have to remap it and remove the limiter. More work than it's worth IMO.
