2001 F4i Cam Tensioner Install, Couple of Quesitons.
So I went in to do the cam tensioner. It had a manual unit installed before and was rattling.
After installation the new honda cam tensioner I have a question regarding the throttle body tubing area since my diagram is no longer on the intake plastic. Here are 4 pics of the tubes. Image 1 http://www.dintek.on.ca/cbr/1.jpg Image 2 http://www.dintek.on.ca/cbr/2.jpg Image 3 http://www.dintek.on.ca/cbr/3.jpg Image 4 http://www.dintek.on.ca/cbr/4.jpg 7,8,9,10 tubes go straight to the gas tank ports. Do 4 and 5 tubes go to 1 and 2 plastic port blockers? Why did the engineers make it that way? They do nothing? Perhaps for the California model with evap can? Where does 3 tube go? to the port labelled 6? Just making sure I have all that right. Thanks. |
yes. 4/5 goes into 1/2. #3 is the vacuum hose for the map sensor... hopefully someone knows where it goes. i wont be working on my bike till later this week. but i think it does go to #6. similar to your picture, on my bike, only the vacuum hoses 4 and 5 have clamps..

The map sensor tube goes to #6. Next time u might want to remove the MAP sensor end, it is easier to reattach.

can you guys help me clarify if the tubes that i've circle red, go together?

4 and 5 are the hoses that you hookup in order to sync throttle bodies.

not 4 and 5. but the hose that i circled in red on both end. does that go from the Fuel Pressure Regulator to that vacuum line?
