WOW......................that is all for now. this was my first time taking the bike up to a decent enough speed to lift my legs onto the pegs. i went and got it inspected today and got insurance on it (no tag/title until end of the week or early next week) so i just took it up and down my road a few times. i SWEAR i couldnt wipe the grin off my face.......SERIOUSLY. i definately think this is going to be one hell of an addiction. and yeah, i wore my gear, took my time, and didnt try to test out the bike to see what it would do. just went slow and enjoyed every second of it..........

Yeah, once you get to a point where you know what you are doin, it gets soooo much better! Congrats! Smart move takin' it slow- ride at your own pace and take the MSF course.

 

yeah man, i really didnt think the quad experience would come in to play at all. but the clutch/brakes really arent much different than the quad..........like, it feels natural other than the twist throttle.

and i took the MSF class in '05

 

i feel you man. i got my bike back in november, but it was winter... so i have only ridden it for about 10 minutes total so far & its incredible. I couldnt stop smiling either. I have to still go get mine inspected (it was a salvage title). I just have a problem with the wirirng on the signals and liscense plate light that i need to fix, then its ready. taking the msf as soon as the post the dates . i have a quad too and ur right its similar, but man the bike is a hell of alot faster (acceleration anways, havent gone fast yet) man are bikes fun!

 

what kind of quad did you have? i HAD a yfz450. sold it to be able to afford a bike. here's a couple pics of me on the quad.....
