Default 1/5 turn throttle

I asked about this last year to no avail. Going racing next month and would like to do this. I don't even know how to order from HRC and BRG tells me their kit is only for the 600RR. All I could find is this:

What do you think?

looks good to me... could be very impractical for street use though also if your going racing ide suggest getting used to it first before takin her to the track... if not you could find urself in a world or hurt when u try to hit .25 throttle and get .75 throttle lol... but i could be wrong never used one... but it looks like a pretty basic kit i would say that one would do just fine...,

That will work...sorta. Did the HRC one on my 600RR race bike (which is 1/6 turn), you'll run into the same issues I had. I believe the F4i has the current throttle tube integrated with the start/kill switch. The kit does not, so you'll need to order the switches to replace the current ones, otherwise it won't all fit on the clipon. A CBR1000RR switch housing will fit, but you'll need to drill the clip-on so it seats correctly. Also, the 1000RR wire harness coming from the switch has a different connector; you'll have to cut and splice or get a new connector. The wires are not the same color coding, so you'll need a multimeter to figure those out.

All in all, it was a time-consuming mod, but I like it.

A lot of the racers just get an R6 throttle tube. It fits, and it is a little larger so that it makes it a quick-turn. You don't have to replace cables, either. Buddy just did it on an RR, don't know how well it would work on an F4i.

I wonder what makes the F4i and RR different. Would make sense for Honda to make parts like this exchangeable between the two I think.
It was as simple as replacing the tube only?

Yup, they just replaced the tube. It fits into the Honda throttle housing.

It's the year issue - they didn't start making the separate switch housing/throttle tube housing until 2007 for either 600 bike. The HRC Quick Turn was designed to work with the HRC switch, HRC ECU, and HRC wiring harness, or the 2007+ bikes. Older ones, like yours and mine (RR or F4), use that single housing, so you have to modify it.
