-1/+2 Chain Length

Im sure this has been posted somewhere, but after using the search both on here and google Im coming up empty handed.

How many links would you need for a 525 -1/+2 sprocket change?

Please put me out of my misery :icon_doh::icon_doh::icon_doh:

You would think you could find answers like this, but I just spent 20 minutes trying to find out. I found no definite answers, but I believe it would be 110 links. Best thing to do is just buy a chain/sprocket kit. I like RK chains, I wanted to go -1 front with stock rear, so I just bought one of their kits. You get both sprockets, master link, and correct length chain for your bike.

That's a pretty popular gearing you want, so i'd say RK as well as other chain/sprocket companies would offer that in a kit.

RK CHAIN/SPROCKET KIT 520 XSO HONDA CBR600F4I | eBay

That link is for a -1/+2 520 conversion chain and sprocket kit from RK and it says it comes with a 108 link chain.
Not 100% as I dont have it on my bike though.

That's a -1 only, it has factory size rear (46). That is not what he wants.

My bad,

Yeah I agree most likely 110

Right on thanks.

The -1/+2 is supposed to be better off the line than the -1/0 correct?
I just got a speedohealer hooked up, and the calibration is much higher for the -1/0 than the other. Meaning the -1/0 throws off the speedo more.

Yeah, the -1/+2 would be better off the line as it is geared lower. Myself, I have the -1/0 combo and love it for street use. I would not want to gear mine any lower, but that is my own personal preference.

The -1/+2 would throw off the speedo more because it is geared lower than the -1/0 combo. Using the online calculator for 12oclock Labs' SpeedoDRD, the -1/0 would be off 6.2% while the -1/+2 would be off 10.2%.

It is 110. Did you get them on yet? How do you like it?
