06 F4i/first bike?

Like the title says. Do you think an F4i 06' would be a good first bike? Here's a link to a bike at a dealer right down the road from me. Also, the site isn't updated they dropped the price to I think around 4. Or it may have been for 3,899 or something like that. It has low miles and I looked at it it seems in perfect condition. They have had that bike plus the RR's that are used on the site for a while.

So do you think the bike I'm looking at would be worth the price? And would it be a good first bike?

Also I got to ride a Versys 650R or something like that a while back. Road it pretty well all over the place. Down te main road and through out the city.

'06 was my first bike. I love it and have had zero problems.

Good first bike. I bought it, and love it. No complaints.

Thx guys. I really like the F4i. I believe il start out on it and most likely keep it. When I have the funds and I am shaping into a better rider I'll look at a newer 600RR and keep the F4i as well. Nothing wrong with two bikes in case one goes down right?!

this 2002 600F4i was my first bike. No regrets / no accidents.

Get whatever you get a good deal on and just respect the throttle. Plenty of other things to worry about besides just engine size.

And you're absolutely right nothing wrong with two bikes - I'm looking at adding a 06-07 1000rr to my stable. I have a thread about it in the lounge right now.

It all really depends on you, your attitude, control, etc.

Sounds about right to me. I have no problem keeping a good mind set on all of those things. The VERY first time I ever rode a bike was that 650. I started it and took off following my uncle. Through traffic, stop lights and signs and everything. So I think it's atleast safe enough to say I should be able to be under control.

Looks pretty good... If they've dropped it down to 4K i'd definitely snatch it.

NateDieselF4i 10-23-2010 08:27 PM

Yeah man - low miles too. at 4k that is a no brainer.
