i baught the bike last fall and stored it in my buddies basement with fresh fuel and a can of stabilizer. this spring i took the tank and plastics off to be repainted and tonight put it all back together. wen i hit the key to start it the very first time it did start but only ran on a couple cylinders for a few seconds and then died. wen i hit the key the fuel pump primes up and everthing but wen i hit the start button all it does is roll and will sometimes give a little kick and thats it. i am stumped here it ran perfect last fall. i am quite familar with fuel injected civic and this seems to be ver ysimilar. jus lookin for some ideas to try any help would be appriciated.

also wen i put the tank back on i hooked up all the hoses but noticed along side the larger slip on hose there was a nipple for a smaller hose but didnt find a hose to hook to it nor do i remember unhooking a hose from it wen i took it apart. hope someone can help me out i am taking a driving course this weekend and would like to have it running before i leave. thanks in advance

The extra tube is for the tank vent. If you have a cali model, it would go to an evap system. The non cali should have an open hose, but probably just got left off.

Check your plugs. They may be fouled out from sitting around and old fuel. start there.

i'd test to see if the injectors are dropping fuel when you start. To do so, you can pull out the fuel rail with the injectors. Lay some rags under the injector and try to start the bike. If you see wet marks, then you have fuel. Then you go on to test for spark and then compression. Otherwise, you need to check for fuel pressure, vaccum, and various sensors.
