04 F4i FI Light wont come on

So it was running fine this morning, this is my very first bike, but I am not new to working on motors (life spent in a cage :( ). However, after removing the headlight etc... to wire up the blinkers, now the FI does not turn on, nor does the light itself turn on. Any ideas?

Can't find a way to edit my post so here is the edit: It will not come on with the headlights etc... off. Is this normal? I checked and plugged the gray plug back in, but the pump still does not turn on.

When you removed the headlight, you prolly messed the bank angle sensor up (or took it out as well). BAS kills the fuel pump if it thinks the bike is tilted too far. And the pump won't prime if the bas is missing and not properly bypassed

How can I fix this? The bike was down by the prior owner. The only thing I disconnected was the giant grey plug.

So if I am holding the headlights upside down with everything plugged in, the bike will not start? I will have to go and try it.

So how can I fix that? Is it just an issue of the headlight being upside down or unplugged?

Fixed: Apparently holding the headlights upside down DOES cause my fuel pump to not want to start. Should I look at bypassing the BAS, or should I leave it alone?

If you're trying to fix / restore the bike and need the headlights out of the way, then yeah bypass the BAS.

Nah, I was just wiring up the blinkers. Gonna leave it broken for now since it's my first bike. What should I check out to make sure it will pass inspection?
