03 F4i - Dirty Valves

Good Evening all.

I have been reading these forums for a long time - and I always found them to be great source of info.. -

Hoping I could get some advise on a 03 F4i i purchased used with 10K km - so about 6000Miles -

The bike is in pritty much mint condition Bone stock- not a scratch, blemish any where..
Starts well - some while condensation smoke when starting but it goes away once it warms up.. It runs nice -

I decided to pull the airfilter and change it - when I took a peek down the throttle bodies I could see alot of carbon build up on the intake valves. I expect seeing that the bike is almost 7yrs old- they probably only did a 1000miles a year.. so i assume it sat alot..

Should I be concerned? - just put some seafoam in the gas and go ride her?

Any input would be appreciated. -

does it have a power commander? if so they might have it too right, especially at idle

No it doesn't have a power commander...

I just installed a Yosh RC-3 Can today -

The Techron Concentrated Complete Fuel System Cleaner is supposed to be good stuff. I'd run a bottle of that through it, then maybe a bottle of Sea Foam. Both at the 1oz. per gallon ratio. I'm kinda addicted to the SF, and put it in like every other tank full.

Been reading about putting 2-stroke oil in the gasoline. Here's an interesting article: LINK.
This accomplishes the same as SF, only it's way cheaper.

Very interesting. I hope to hear more of this on this site. I think is worth trying on my truck. I will hold out on the bike until I see some results.

Same here. On the Bob is the Oil Guy forum, there's quite a bit of talk about it too.
