Default 02 f4i is scaring me! help

Ok so here is the short story, I changed my stock cct with a manual one from ape. Than took it to my mechanic to doube check my tension on it. He adjusted it slightly than said it was good.
Took it home and it worked/sounded perfect for 2 days, than the idle started to get screwed(bike would cut out with clutch was in sometimes) than it randomly went away two weeks ago and never had a problem since with that.
Ever since the idle problem went away there has been an unfamiliar noise with my bike, it almost sounds like a chain scraping along something, or like a fast clicking noise, and it gets faster as RPM goes up but never gets louder(engine noise drowns it out at 6k rpm). The sound isn't like the noise my bike made when i had the old auto cct. Also the noise is easier heard from the right side but can be heard from either side of the bike.

Anyone have any idea what it could be?

if it made the idle drop then the manual cct was too tight

well thats what i thought too. cct was too tight but the idle problem went away after a day or two. so i think that was electrical.

If you had it too tight, you could have overly stretched your cam chain. An APE too tight can affect your idle, since there was too much friction the motor was having a hard time moving the chain.

I'd Honestly back out the APE and readjust it. With the engine warmed up, back it out until you can hear the rattle, then slowly turn it in until the motor sounds smooth. Lock it down from there.

If that doesnt help it, maybe someone else can chime in.

I was thinking could the guides be worn/valve slapping? I don't think the noise and the idle are connected. also the lock nut on it pre ****in tight and my 5/8 wrench seems to want to slip on it, any tips on gettin that backed off?
