02 cbr600 f4i- clicking rattling noise- Help
I recently purchased this cbr f4i from a couple who were very knowledgeable and maintained the bike through the years. Engine oil, coolant brakes etc.. the normal stuff.
I have drive the bike for maybe 50 miles now (maybe because i am listening to the bike more rather than just being excited about the ride) i have come to notice this clicking/rattling sound.
It happens at all times and gradually gets fast and slower as the rpm's go from low to high and viceversa.
When it comes to figuring out what the mechanical problem is I have no clue but im sure if i could narrow it down then i could follow the manual and do the repair.
Below is a youtube link to the bike while the sound is being made at idle (in neutral)

Could be. I have a manual CCT and it rattles just a tiny bit at around 3.5k. These bikes (and most bikes) do have a bit of a clicking sound to them due to the valve clearances. In your video nothing sounds off to me, but there are others here who are more qualified to make a diagnosis. It's most likely normal valve lash though and you're being paranoid about it so it makes it seem worse lol.

i will tell u now i have a 01 f4i and mine makes that same noise u talking about. now im not a professional especially since i been riding for only 2 weeks but when i took it to a mechanic he said everything is fine and your video sounds just like how mine sounds. so i would say try not to stress it to much and if u think its getting worse take it in and have it looked at.

its fine and normal. especially if it when you first crank it up. then as the oil and engine warms up the noise may get a little less noisy. its normal valve train noise. crank a car up, pop the hood and put your ear down by the valve cover and you will hear the an identicle noise.
bike engines are in the open and we are nearly sitting right on top of them compared to a car engine so we hear every little noise...
