02 cbr f4i I need HELP!!!!
 

name is jon and from mass. got my first bike the other day 02 cbr600 f4i . there is just a little problem with it and i need your answer. i have a problem going into 2nd gear .about 70% of the time it will not go into gear.all other gears work great. please help! thanks

does it go into a false neutral or lock up when you shift into 2nd?

yeah it tends to go into neutral when i try to get in second

i know on these bikes you have to kick firm from 1st to 2nd, so try that

I can confirm that the step from 1st to 2nd is a taught one, and noise too in these bikes.

But I havent experienced the problem that you describe.

does it go into second then pop out into netural? i have a 2001 and i have never had a problem

yeah its a really weird situation. but i cant test anything cuz its been raining.let you all know what the problem is soon
