The right bar end on my bike sticks out about 1/4 to 1/2" from the grip. It came like that when I bought the bike and I don't think it should be like that. Does anyone know how to fix the issue? I haven't seen any other bike like that

I dont think they are the right bar ends personally, are thay seated properly in the grove? But who knows, the grips may be the special kind but its one of those things

Sometimes it will depend on the grip. As long as it's seated properly, that's just the way it's gonna be. You can "fix" it by using a different grip and bar-end combination. When I replaced my normal grips with one of the fancy ones from Driven, my left bar-end stuck out further also.

Ok. thanks for the help everyone. i appreciate it

yep.. as said before there is no difference in the side for the bar ends... more than likely the bar end is not sitting correctly in the other part (located inside the clip on). The only other thing I can think of is that the grip on that side might be shorter than the other.. but that would be weird...

+1 the same thing happened with my older bike...i would start by checking the bar end was seated properly if so then check the handle bar weight...on my older bike (not sure if it's the proper way but i just tapped it in with a hammer.. i didn't hit it real hard just taped it in...but from the above i would go that route...lol...
