hmm. Anyone else got any ideas? Now I'm a little confused. does the battery act the same wat when it's on a charger? what kind of voltage readings are you getting across the batt with the bike off after turning on the headlights for 30 seconds or so to remove any surface charge? what about before removing the surface charge?

well i got to thinking this is not right,
and i went back through and read what jp_greenville13 had to say.
what i got to the part about the meters it got me thinking maybe i fried mine sometime ago when i used it.
so i borrowed a friends and well believe it or not it read 12v, just for kicks i put his battery in mine and well mine read 12v.
i hate when i look over the little details, turns out i had a low battery and it was giving me false readings.

i have to say thanks to jp_greenville13 for the help.
i do not think i would have figured it out without you man.
well now i can go back to riding.

Good post, learnt something new myself today. Would have never expected that a low meter battery will make the meter misread like that.
