01 F4i Speedo Issue
 

Hey all,
I've got an 01 F4i and I'm having some issues with my speedo. It is working intermittently (sometimes it works fine and other times it does not). When I start up the bike it seems to work fine and then as I'm driving it will simply "zero" out and won't read any speed at all. After it zero's it will also sometimes come back on and read a normal speed. I checked all relevant wiring and have even gone so far as to reset the error codes on the comp. to no avail. Has anyone had a similar issue or maybe know of a way to resolve this? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

i had the exact problem. it was the speed sencer in the tranny. when i took mine out it had a couple metal shavings on it could have been ****ing with it. didnt take the chance and just put a new one in. but if you dont know what your doing i would say pay to have it done.

also does the Fi light come on if you go over about 60ish mph for like 5 min?

Ya the Fi light does come on actually...
