Default 01 F4I electrical issue????

I bought my 01 F4I in September with just over 13K on the ticker. Yesterday on the way to work (30 mile one way 90% highway) I was cruising at 80 ish mph 7400 rpm and my bike seemed to loose power momentarily. The tachometer slammed to 0 even though I was still rolling as if I were to pull in the clutch and let it roll. I tried to release the clutch and accelerate again but there is no power to the engine when I roll the throttle back. The speedometer was still working though. Immediately I pulled in the clutch, and the tachometer worked again.. Let out the clutch and I was able to accelerate again and keep on my way.

The trip home I get 20 miles into my journey and it happens again only this time it took slightly longer for me to be able to accelerate again. The bike actually stalled out after a few seconds of me trying to pull the clutch, release, and then accelerate again.

I hit a bump pretty good the second time, cant really remember if I did the first time, so I am wondering if I have a loose wire somewhere?? Any ideas?? Any help would be appreciated!

Only thing I can think of is the kill switch on the throttle handlebar. Maybe a bad solder joint?

Look for a loose/bad connection somewhere.
Don't forget to look at the plug for the headlamp too.

I tried a quick troubleshoot and found that when I wiggle the bundle of wires leading to the dash the speedometer and tach go off and on. I will have to take some time to get further into it to find the loose connection.
