Default 01 CBR 600 f4i Battery/wont start.

Hello all,

I'm new to this forum and I'm just looking for some diagnosing help.
The battery died in my bike and I replaced it with a brand new one, however after installing it the bike still doesn't start. It doesn't even seem like its getting any power.

Thanks.

Did you charge the battery? Some batteries require charging before use.
What exactly is it doing?

You may be right, I did not charge the battery before installation. I wasn't sure if it needed to be charged. The bike is completely dead none of the lights or accessories turn on when I put the key in the ignition. In the mean time I'm going to have the battery charged and see if that was the problem.

*UPDATE* Ok I checked the charge on the battery, and it was fully charged. Double checked the manual to find that the battery comes fully charged and read to install. Now I'm stumped because I don't know what else could be causing my bike not to start.

you probably have a blown fuse, for me it is usually the one under the red or black ( i forgot) plastic/rubberr next the the ECU. it should be on the left side just lift the rubber and check the fuses.
it should be green, check that.

if the battery is fully charged, and verified, then look at the "main" fuse. it's not in the fuse box, but on the side of it. follow the positive cable from the battery and you will find it. it's probably a 30a.

Default Main fuse box?

Is this the fuse for the main fuse box? If so I bought a new one and nothing happened..

"i think" there is one on the side of the fuse box. at least on mine (929), remembering back to last time i was in there, i thought there was one under a separate black cover. ill look later when i get home. im going from memory. the starter relay had one in it also which is what i think you found.

you replaced the fuse, but does it have voltage there?

It may be a dumb suggestion but is your killswitch off?
