Very odd electrical issues.
 

So I thought my R/R was bad. Bought the suggested GSXR one and wired it up tonight.
Had like 12.6V at the battery at idle and 13+ while revving but with a good battery the lights were still bright and dim with the throttle. Went to wally world and bought a new NeverStart. Put it in (did not trickle charge it) and bike fired right up.
Tried to take it for a ride. Things got weirder.

If I put the kickstand down, it would just flat stall.
I pulled the clutch in THEN put the kickstand down and it was fine; is that normal? Out of my 7 bikes, none do this?
So finally got that squared away and went for a ride. I think my petcock is bad so I Have a vacuum line hooked up to it; give it a suck and start it up and the bike runs fine :icon_screwy::icon_screwy:
But when I tried taking it for a second rip up the street, and gave it some throttle and the lights went whacky and the temp gauge pegged :icon_emm:
So I shut it off and let it idle again and all was fine. Put some vacuum to the petcock and took it for a ride.
I've got the battery on the trickle charger and will hook up the vacuum tomorrow and see what happens.
Anything else I should check? Sorry for the long winded post!

Electrical gremlins can sometimes be traced down to a loose ground connection somewhere on the frame.
