My F2 sounds fairly similar to yours and I was worried about it. All the feedback I got was thats exactly how an F2 is supposed to sound under 3k and that nothing was wrong with it. Yours sounds a little more pronounced than mine but that could be your exhaust. Are you running a K&N? I noticed well actually hadn't noticed til you posted this that my idle has sounded even better since I pulled the K&N and put in an emgo paper filter.

Here's a link to what mine used to sound like. This was with a different exhaust and before I tuned my carbs and scrapped the K&N. I think it sounds kinda similar but maybe it's just me.

my bike sits at 12v ish at idle and doesn't reach 14v until around 3000rpm.
That's exactly what it is supposed to be. They don't charge at idle like a car.

Sounds fine to me. I'd say that's just the way an engine with high performance cams runs. Besides, you shouldn't be under load below 3k unless you're in 1st and just taking off.

I have to feather the clutch and fidget with my throttle to leave a light w/o killing the engine. There's definitely something wrong with mine. Runs like a raped ape other than that!

Here ya go!

Yeah, you definitely have a carburation problem. Sounds like a blockage in the circuit that does the transition from idle to main jets. (I'm not sure what the official name is...)

Well, for what it's worth, I synced mine today and it had little impact. They were out of balance, not horribly but they were unbalanced. Soooo, syncing carbs is not the magic cure, at least not in this situation.

Anybody have any luck fixing this yet? I'm having the exact same problem. Stutters like crazy until about 3k RPM then takes off and runs fine after that.
