?? starter gear box??
 

looking at buying a 1994 600f2 that has a broken starter box, the starter gear sit's in this hole lookes like the flange has broken, how big of a repair is this going to be?? sorry don't have any pic s dont have bike yet :icon_shrug: this bike only has 4000 miles on it and i cant understand how this has happen// what should i look for any and all will be helpful

this happened to me not too to long ago, I just bought another motor for cheap. I tried to fix it with jb weld and that lasted for about a day but I didnt take my time and just slapped it on. One guy fixed his with safety wire and jb weld and it's been holding up for like 4 months now

I had mine broke, took it to a machine shop paid 53 for them to weld it, broke again bought a new motor today
