Default shift linkage removal question

can someone tell me how to remove the linkage from my shifter

It's pretty straightforward if you look at it but if you need a reference, you can download the manual from a few site. Just do a search on it. The fine adjuster (shaft) has normal threading on the lock nut on one end and reversed threading on the other.

cool i was hoping to not have to mess with the length and all that and pop it loose at the knuckle looked in the manual i dl couldnt find anything on removing the rear sets
