Regulator rectifier (R/R) problem solved
I just picked up a 93 F2 for Free
Previous owner says it needs an alternator. In my research it seems R/R are a common fault. I jumped the bike because the battery is completely flat. I took the jumper off once it started and it stalled so I put the jumper back on it and let it run for a few minutes and then pulled the jumper pack off and everything got dim. So I checked the battery and it was at like ~8-9V. Would you start with the R/R or stator/alternator?

, sounds like the R/R to me did you check the resistance? You'll need a new batt as well

I pulled the rectifier off today. I noticed on the bike plug, if you have the push tab facing up, the top right connector is all burned up. I'm guessing this could be the issue. How did it happen and how is it remedied?

+1 for the link to the Triumph site/ rectifier upgrade How-To! That's the best thing ever! I did it and it works! Found a 2008 R1 rectifier on ebay from a bike with 4k miles. Got it shipped to the house for like $82. Installed it and my 1991 f2 runs again! If I was any more excited I'd be wearing a condom!

What is that little black circle thing mounted on the aluminum plate beside the stock RR. Did you guys remove it altogether. And how did you mount the Suzuki RR flat. Or does it need to be flat?
