issues with carb. hoses

Hello everyone. I picked up a 1992 cbr 600 f2 basket case. I have it put together mostly but dont know some things and my dumb ass didnt buy a manual. My question is , there are 4 lines coming out of the carb assembly. The 2 bottom ones are fuel but i dont know where the 2 top ones go. They come from either end of the assembly and 90 inward. The ends butt up to each other in the middle, so i dont know if they plug into something or they are supposed to be connected to each other. Please help cause this is the last part so she can atleast run. Thank you so much.

They just hang.. Overflow/ breather I believe. They don't connect to anything

Its a little hard to tell without a pic, but on my 94, there are two fuel lines from between each pair of carbs that 90 to each other. then a single line comes out of a t and to the tank.....

click on reply and on the bottom of the page there is a section that says additional options. I just learned how to do it myself yesterday.. I saved my pic into my pictures on the computer and uploaded it. as far as the hoses I believe they are breathers and don't go to anything. but like was said hard to tell without pictures. theres the big breather hose and theres 2 hoses one on each side of the big hose and if those are the ones then they don't hook to anything. do not plug them off.

Ok, so these breathers are flowing fuel out of them when i tried to start the bike. My wife is pissed because it shot fuel in the garage, and now the house reeks. I hope this pic makes it on here. I am pointing at the lines. The two on either side of the larger hose in the middle( which gos to a vent filter. Any thoughts ? Carb rebuild ?

Sounds like your float needle valves are not sealing. If the bike sits for long, the plastic floats can bend of their own weight. Also, the needle tips are rubber and get grooved and don't seal. Or, crud in the float bowls keeps them from shutting off. If you are using a remote tank for tuning, you cannot have it to high over the bike as the increase in fuel pressure will push gas past the needles. I know, I did it.

Good luck.

Do I just have to replace my floats or needles if these hoses are leaking fuel?

You're going to have better luck starting a new thread.
