Indicators won't work

Indicators won't work
Went to work the other day and the right side indicators wouldn't work at all, next day they were working again. On the ride to work both sides gave out. Have checked fuses and they are fine, have played with the wires (gave them a wiggle) and nothing. Hight beam and horn are ok just indicators! Any ideas?

Check inside the bulb sockets for corrosion or the bulbs to see if the contacts have been worn from vibration. I had a bulb that wouldn't work due to the contacts not lining up properly. A little clean up and it worked fine. Take a meter to the contacts in the socket to see if you are getting juice to them.

Might also be the relay, although not often, but they do fail from time to time.
Another possible cause is dirty contacts in the button on the handle. If you take it apart note how it is put back together, if I recall right there is at least one little spring that wants to jump out never to be seen again...

Without a doubt it would be odd, but not unthinkable, for you to happen to have two faulty bulb connections on the same side at once.
I would first suspect the relay, like Mattson mentioned, but I would start simple, with checking the bulb contacts, like gpfan1 suggested. If those look fine, you could use a 12 volt test light, or multimeter, to see if you're getting voltage to the contacts on the harness, when you're running the signals, then, you'll have better evidence of whether or not the relay is bad... I would hate to see you just go out and buy a relay, and find that doesn't resolve the issue, as those little dudes are $40+ from the dealer.
