Carburetor Cleaning & Tuning 101
Never had to replace one for a bike, but I know car stems are cheap so hopefully bike stems are too.
Got them done.. Took longer than expected! Just started it up after cleaning out the filter! Thanks for all the help, i would normally wait for help from my older brother or dad but with your help i was able to do it myself! Just hope nothings screwed up...
I was wondering if i should add those fuel system cleaners to my tank like right before an oil change or something? Would adding the carb cleaning ones affect our bikes? I know its a noob question but im just trying to be safe and not damage anything.

Whenever you need it. It's not maintenance, it's a repair, so it falls under "don't fix it if it ain't broke." Doing it before it's necessary is just a waste of a severe amount of time. Some have gone 25k+ without ever needing it. My bike sat for 3 years with no stabilizer, so I needed to do it even though it only had 9500 miles on it.
