carbs issues 92 600f2
today i went riding and bike was running great
i went to install a k-n-n filter and now the bike wont start up
it will idle then die
even when i put the oem filter back in it wont start
i have it on choke all the and its like starving for fuel then dies.
any ides im sure carb clean will be needed thats my guess.

I assume that after resinstalling the OEM filter, that you re-closed and sealed up the airbox?
At any rate, if you personally don't know for sure that the carbs are squeaky clean, that is definitely the first place to start with fueling issues, especially if the bike ever spent a good deal of time sitting, and not running.

Check your fuel lines for a pinch. Vacuum line to the head cylinder, skinny line that dangles from you tank is also a vacuum breather hose and of course your fuel line from the petcock to the carbs. I recommend breaking out a flashlight and following every millimeter. I can alomst bet it is a pinch in the lines, at least that is what it sounds lines. Runs for a few seconds and dies.

It's true, that is a "dohhh" moment , but at least now it's !!

Is it necessary for the vacuum lines to be plugged in and the airbox closed up for the bike to run? I'm trying to bring a racer back from the dead; I have a remote gas tank hooked up but no vacuum lines connected and no air box mounted. It kind of runs if I spray starter fluid, but that's it. Is this a similar problem?
