Well been awhile since I started this topic

But small update in the past months ive not had much chance to do much to it but i've removed all the panels and got back to the frame.

wich will need sanding and painting I also got around to removing the rear wheel wich took work as it was sized solied to uncover I nice rusted and mucky swingarm so I migth just do a full rebuild from the ground up and have the whole frame sandblasted and powdercoated

Will upload pics when I can so u can all see

 

Hey douglas, have you fixed the brakes up yet? I am free this weekend if you need a hand matey

 

£400 ?? I only paid £275 for the one pictured in my intro/noobie thread ;o)

So far my total costs (inc purchase price) to get her all road legal and sorted are about £550 (this includes shipping from Cambridge to Aylesbury)

Hmm guess it really was a bargain

well thougth since i've update else were though only fair to update here aswell

So started stripping to find this
21 year of rust hiddien by bad paint and a rear tyre hugger

(down side to living it a wet country and salt covered roads)












so discoving the rust the bike ended up looking like this





so a trip to the sand blaster and then it off to the paints few lays of primer later this is the result



and thats how it sat over xmas till this week when the 1st lay of base colour went on heres a sneak peak of the colour see if you can guess the final scheme

Looking good so far man. It's nice to see you fully restoring the old girl.

 

I thougth only fitting. That i go all out so that this old girl could hopefull see another 22 years

 

woo hoo well done for sticking with it,ime in wolverhampton in the west mids,how much did it cost for your powder coating,if you dont mind me asking
