Default 1991 - 1994

hey guys,

running a 1994 camel joes and have a 1991 supersport as a donor bike.

The only differences i have noticed are the rear shock are different along with the rear hangers.

Does anybody have any other knowledge of differences between the two bikes?

is the supersport engine any different or are they all supersports?

both american imports if that makes a difference.

thanks for your time

Don't quote me, because this is just off the top of my head, but I think the "Supersport" Name was just marketing, and the Smoking Joe was just a plastic scheme.

Some things may be a bit different, because there are small variations from year to year, but the heart should be the same F2 power plant.

Biggest difference is the front forks. You have OK cartridge internals on the 94 and antique damping rods on the 91-93. The 94 forks are a bunch better. The remote reservoir rear shock is a little better, but it still isn't a very good shock. The only thing that's different on the engine is whether it's a 50 state (CA model) or 49 state model. The 49 state cams are a bit different and a bit more aggressive, but I don't know how big of a difference it is.
