White F4i
Well I finally received my plastics after more than a month. Before I purchased my kit, I went through this section and saw that people were very happy and impressed with the customer service, and the plastics. However, I can't say that I had the same experience.
On the website its advertised that you should get your fairings 16 - 20 days after initial purchase.
2/8/13 - Order placed
2/22/13- No update to order, contacted Stephen Warde via email. Told me it would be another few days before it was ready
2/28/13 - Still no update or contact, so I sent another email. I didn't receive a response to this one.
3/2/13 - Still no update or contact. Decided to use the live chat feature on the website. Was told that it would still be another few days before the kit had shipped, and that they had just started working on it.
3/12/13 - Kit finally arrived
The time that it took to get the kit was a little disappointing, but I understand that the company is not based in the U.S and I'm certainly no their only customer. That being said, I'm very upset with the lack of contact. Again, I realize that you're not able to keep track of every customers kit; but it would be nice to have the company reach out to you about delays and other things going on with your order.
As far as the quality of the kit, I can't really say it was great either. I expected, that certain holes would need to be drilled, enlarged etc. In addition to that, both of the plastic mounting tabs on the side fairings were broken off, or missing when I received my kit.
- Missing mounting tabs
- Heat shield advertised, but not included
- Solo seat cowl advertised, again not included
- Most holes needed to be slightly enlarged
- Tinted windscreen included
Overall I'd say that I'm happy to have a new set of fairings. However, I can't say that I will be purchasing from extreme fairings again.
Here's some pictures of the kit on the bike.
