Hi John, apologies for the ridiculous amount of time taken for this reply, I have only just gotten round to looking at this section again lol. I sold my H reg cbr600fl back in april and picked up a '95 cbr600fs for this year. I've been commuting on it while the weather is good.

Have you still got your FJ 1000 and if so did you take it out for a spin?

I'm in Ecclesfield of Sheffield so not too far from you mate.

Hi Roger yes got the old girl on the road back then but has been off the road again since. my personal circumstances have changed for the better and now she is nearly ready for the road again. need to get a new set of boots on her now and hopefully take for test later this week.

Hi John, if you're planning on putting new tyres on yourself there are some pretty good deals on ebay. I put a new one on my last bike and it wasn't too hard. You'll save quite a bit of money if you do it yourself.

Hi Roger got a pair of tyres from Ebay and had them fitted and balanced locally. Bike went for MOT today and passed with flying colours. Well chuffed. Pics to follow....
