Wow, I'm jealous of that trap speed!

Tell me more about your bike! Any 'hidden' tricks?

How much do you weigh all suited up?

Well done. 10's on a 600 is a nice achievement.

I set the forks to full stiff and the shock to full soft, take the mirrors off, and tuck as low as I can. I don't really have any significant mods besides the -1 front sprocket, yoshi slip on, and k&n filter. I weigh aboot 165 with all my stuff on.

Thanks for the info!

When you say front shock stiff.. do you mean slow down the rebound? Or are you adjusting compression?

For the rear, are you using softest compression with slowest rebound?

I'm gonna sound stupid here I know but... I just spin everything on the forks (the top and bottom adjusters) to stiff, and do the same to the shock, but to the soft settings. If I knew which part was which I'd change my approach a bit. But I was too lazy to search to figure out, so I just sorta used a blanket approach with the screwdriver lol. I'm thinking that the sprocket change is helping me tremendously since my buddies '03 with 10k less miles traps 4-5mph lower consistently and we weigh the same. If I don't ride my gsxr 1k out to the 1/8th mile track this friday i'll probably try and set the back up stiffer and see if I can't keep the front end down a little better that way.

I ran my bike bone stock with my 280lbs in gear, and ran consistant 12.3 at 115 in 90+
weather. Seamed a little slow but I feel better now since your bike has pipe power
commander and -1. I'm going again after I swap my chain and sprokets I'll be happy with
high 11s lol.

Went to the local 1/8 mile again last night, was able to break into the 7.9x's one one pass, which should be good for 11.9-12.0 in the quarter.

Best 1/8 mph was 97.7, which is also a new best and should work out to right around 120 mph in the quarter.

Next steps are lightweight battery, +2 on the rear, and I will try to find a strap kit for the bike. I really dont want to stretch the bike, so I think I will stop with those mods and just focus on learning how to launch the bike.

My 60' times are still TERRIBLE... my best is 2.2x so far. I figure if I could drop that to 1.8, then I could see 11.2-11.5 1/4 mile times at 121-122 mph or so.

I love bikes!

p.s. I'm about 220 lb with my helmet, leather jacket and boots...

My 60ft were bad also 2.2 I can get 1.8 in my civic, I think changing the gearing will help alot.
Good luck have fun. Got to get the bike faster than your car lol.

Sort of irrelevant, but inspirational none the less. 9-second 600, ZX-6R Drag Bike

I took my k6 gsxr 1000 to the 1/8th mile the other night and it made me appreciate how easy the f4i is to ride. I ran a 6.77 @ 116 compared to my 7.12 @ 104 on the 600. It sucks to trap 12mph higher and only run 4 tenths faster lol. Launching a stock swing arm/wheel base 1000 is harder than calculus.

Went to the local street drags again... doing a LITTLE better, but I've still got a LOT of launch skills to learn!
