Extended swingarm/tail section
I've got a 2001 929 Fireblade. Its going to be a drag bike build. Basically want a grudge bike look for a street/strip bike. Looking to find an extended tail section. It can be for any newer CBR as well. Just haven't seen anything anywhere. If you have an extended tail lets see some pics. Extended swingarm pics would be nice too. Looking for idea's. Thanks.

why do you need a extended tail?

Unless your absolutely SET on an extended swingarm, swingarm extensions are the way to go! Check ebay, there's some legit companies on there that make nice products for a very reasonable price. I'll be stretching my 929 in a few weeks via ordering a kit from "quino's" on ebay.

there's a lot of companies that make the extensions but I'm just curious why you would even want to stretch the swingarm on it?
|
He's looking for extended plastics, not the swingarm. Sorry, I'm not sure where to pick one up for a 929. Most I know of are for the big boys (ZX-10/14, Busa, etc).
And you stretch the swing arm for drag racing. Hence why it's in the drag racing section... |
i am interested can you tell me more bud ,, thanks

Brian,
good luck on finding an extended swingarm. I recently put swingarm extensions on my bike, ('01 929) for the price i'd go that route. The price difference between extensions and an extended swingarm is about $1000. I bought a complete swingarm extension kit, extension brackets, brake bracket, extended brake line and chain, for about $350. Even with having the wheel back 9" it doesn't stick out past the fender so no need for an extended tail section. good luck to ya |
