1/4 mile 98' f3

finally got to a 1/4 mile drag strip yesterday.
had quite a bit of a learning curve but had a guy stop me and helped me out :)
got pretty consistent doing 12.24-12.27 @ 112, 60 ft times were 2.0xx, but early in the day i pulled a 12.17 out of my ass, still not sure how :icon_shrug:
but i had a great time nonetheless :icon_bike:

Why are you shifting so early? Run it to right at 14k before shifting. Also try to keep your rpm higher on the launch.

If you are going back I would recommend a front strap ($25) on ebay. It will lower the front end and allow you to launch much harder without the bike wanting to lift the front wheel.

redline is actually 12.5, f4i gauges, if i took it to 14 id be bouncing off the rev limiter.
thanks for the advice though, may have to look into the strap, but im not looking to get real serious into drag racing, just a good way to kill a saturday afternoon :icon_banana:

My bro talked me into taking my track prepped F2 to the drag strip. What a blast and its only 10 bux to enter. I have fiberglass bodywork. no lights, Yoshi pipe and stage 2 jetting. Best run was a 11.2 at 119.7 mph.
