removing decals

i bought a complete set of fairings from motosfanclub on ebay and i believe he clear coated over the stickers. i really want to remove them and was just wondering will it leave a big outline where the sticker was and how notiuceable is it? Is there any way to get rid of that outline after the stickers have been removed? thanks in advance

Razor blade and a steady hand

i figured a hair dryer and a razor blade would work. im just wondering if you will still be able to see where they were seeings how there is clear coat over the stickers

A hair dryer and a product called "Label and Sticker Remover" from advanced auto works the best.

There is only clea coat on the take, and enough elbow grease will take care of it.

i bought a whole new set of plastic fairings for my bike so its not OEM honda. are you saying though that there wont be an outline from the clear coat?

If the clear coat is over the decals, you need to use a razor blade to cut the clear coat in order to remove the decal. It will be very hard to just peel the sticker off. If a outline is left, take the razor blade and shave it down. Something like goof off may take care of it, but I would be care ful with it.

You can do it but then the clear will peel or chip off. I did this to my bike as well and had to end up sanding and repainting otherwise your clear will chip off.
