Default Belly pan for an '87-'88 Hurricane

Yep. The one that came with this bike has been road-rashed and melted beyond repair. I'm not even sure I can make a copy in fiberglass from what I have.

Airtech's got it for $110 + shipping, but if anyone's got a cheaper one I'm interested, because I'm a cheap bastard. Or, heck, if you've got one that's just messed up on the right side (from the rider's perspective). I can cut them both in half and make one good part from them.

Yup, just figured as a shot in the dark.

Debating whether to try to lay this up in fiberglass by using the old one to make a mold, and then fixing the damage in the negative mold. The logic being that fiberglass would stand up to exhaust temps much better than polypropylene.

With enough gob, any part is repairable. The backside of my belly pan looks like a spiderweb of nylon tape and polyurethane

You're going to love when I start posting project pics then. I have been doing so much ABS welding on these fairings...
