I've been looking for a transparent red or chrome red windscreen for the 54 and I'm not having much luck finding one under 75 bucks. Anyone have any websites that have them for sale, or know of any group buys I could get a good deal on one.

All I can do is warn you of the aftermarket chrome shields on a 954. Working at large Honda shop I saw my fair share of melted tachs/gauge clusters from the sun. And Honda heard enough and doesn't much warranty them anymore. (Not that many are still under warranty) All the bikes had aftermarket shields. I got about four warrantied and had my customers paint the inside flat black and they never had another issue. I would imagine anything to take the shine off the inside would work.

The sportechs are nice and I run a PUIG and I like mine. (Mine is dark smoke)

 

yeah I was gonna paint the bottom inside with clear coat or a red paint to fix the issue... I've heard the same thing

 

jjukulua just painted his stock windscreen and it turned out awesome, maybe I'll just do this with my stock one. Worst case scenario I'll just have to buy a replacement one that I was going to do anyway.

 

Right on, that does look good. Nice job on the riech emblem too. Way more original then everyone elses shield to boot.
