Default What will happen if i do this ......

Where my oil filter is, there is a small metal pipe coming from it with a rubber hose (jubilee clipped) running away from it.... if i took this clip off, would ... something pour out of it ?

can you put up a pic of what your talking about? i think you mean the hoses on an oil cooler maybe. those would have coolant in them...

yep, it is coming from the metal surround the filter is on, would there be coolant filling the whole pipe ? So it would leak when removed.

yes. coolant circulates around the the oil passage on its way to and from the filter.

ya, it's coolant, but if you just were trying to replace the clip, you'd be fine, nothing would leak. just don't pull the hose off.

Well i am so OCD, i am off to Honda with colour pictures of behind my exhaust headers of some of the rusty bolts.... to order new ones !!! Even though i don't see them i just hate the fact they are there.... it will then be bathed in ACF-50 until i eventually sell it years later. Thanks for the info, i will get it taken off and changed.
