Default Steering Stabilizer

When can you tell the most difference with the steering stabilizer? And is it worth the 375.00 price tag

I've got a steering damper on my bike, and you can really tell the difference. through hard accelerating, poor road conditions (which there are plent in Sydney), and even coming out of corners.

I'd definately get one if I didnt already have one, although you may want to get one thats adjustable, my one is, and its nice to be able to set up the damping level to suit how i ride at any particular road.

What Damper/Stabilizer are you looking at?

i would def buy one, but first make sure your suspension is up to par.. if you have a bad suspension or set up incorrectly you are just putting a band ad on a serious problem

Go with the Scotts. It is the best for the street. It has constant high speed damping/valving that is always working for you as well as being fully adjustable. High speed saves your *** from road hazards and head shake ( tank slappers ). It may be a few more bucks but it is definitely worth it. Mine has 2 words on it Scotts and Ohlins......Need I say more.[sm=shades.gif]

I am looking at the Hyperpro RSC. It seems to be a well built product.

I have a 2002 954 and I have never felt like I needed a steering dampner. I do not ride wheelies or any other stunting but I do alot of fast back road riding. I have thought about getting a dampner also, because of everything I read about the 954 but I just feel very comfortable with the way this bike handles. I bought my bike in Jan' 07 with 870 miles on it so the suspesion is still very tight. It may get worse as the suspension gets broke in I don't know, but I have 6000 miles on it now and everything is still ok. How many miles do you have and are you having any issues?
