The guy who bought my 600RR gave me a check and I guess it takes 2 to 3 days for the check to be good. Tomorrow is the big day weather or not I decide to buy this 954. Ill try to get it at $3100. Holy damn! I am excited and nervous! it looks very intimidating

Who finances a $3500 motorcycle? If you ain't got that kinda cash, then you have no business buying a motorcycle. Definitely a weird situation. Hopefully all goes well.

The guy I bought mine from was the original owner. I paid $4600 for mine, with a mere 3700 miles on it. Well worth the $1400 premium to me.

Check for the dreaded cracked case around the #1 cylinder or is it #4?

hey guys so days passed and IDK. I decided to wait for a better deal. I mean its a really nice bike, but some people persuaded me not to buy it. Thinking about it, 45k miles is a lot for a bike and the owner said he crashed two bikes already so it sort of gives me the idea of how he rides. Its a lovely bike though and man I wish I could buy it, but for $3200 IDT its the best deal. I am still looking around. I mean if I get this one I have to pay $200 rear tire. Maybe $100 oil change. Then valve Adjustment for like idk $700. BTW how do you know if a bike needs it's vavles adjusted .

Tires go fast! I hope you aren't looking for a primary mode of transportation. You can change your oil yourself, unless you live in an apartment that forbids it.

Ever since I've had a driveway, I've change my own oil. Not really to save money, because the jiffy lube places will change your car oil for dirt cheap. I do it because I love it and I don't like to wait.

Valve adjustments are a regularly scheduled service, every X amount of miles they are supposed to be checked and re-shimmed if necessary.

All and all just don't settle, make sure you get exactly what you want and in the end you will be happy! I passed on a lot of good deals before I found mine

Yeah, I would pass. I payed 2300 for my 954, with 27k miles. Its considered old school to some people. I don't care as long as I get a good bike for 2500 or less.that way I always come out at least getting my money back out of it. A better one will come by.
