Default Removing Seat- Where are fasteners?

I just checked by 954 maintenance manual to figure out how to remove the seat to get to my battery and the diagram does not seem to match what I am seeing on my bike. Can any one tell me where the bolts are that I need to un-loosen to be able to slide the seat forward and remove it? Do I need to pop up the passenger seat to get to the fasteners? Any help would be appreciated.

I think they are 8mm Hex head on the back corner of the seat then it will just slide back.
