Rebuild my forks or take them to the shop
Woke up this morning to my bike front tire looking like an armor all ad...fluid everywhere. I haven't had a chance to call around, but do you think it would be cheaper to rebuild them or just take it to the shop. I'm pretty good with tools, but at the sametime I don't want to spend a whole day on something if the shop can do it in less time for around the same price. Just wondering....

obviously it will be cheaper to do it yourself because you are only paying for the parts instead of the parts and the service. costed me about 25-30 bux in parts and a few hours to do cuz it was my first time but it would have been atleast 100 bux for a shop to do so it was completely worth it. youtube videos on changing fork seals helped a lot, too.

yea it all depends, i know a few people are cheap(including me) and would rather spend the time and gain the experience from doing it themselves. but if you got the money to just throw it at someone else then save yourself the potential headache of doin it. what'd they quote you just outta curiosity if you dont mind me askin?
