Not Starting-Black Smoke???
Hey guys I need all your advice on something, my bike was working fine 2 weeks ago, and when i come home from school I tryed starting my bike and it kind of stutters but never starts up, and after a while of trying to start it it starts to kind of puff out black smoke and I have noooooo clue what is going on. I also was changing my front blinkers a little back but would this do that if I fried a wire, but my turn signals work fine.
Anything would be helpful-
Thanks Guys

You live somewhere its been cold? Its most likely your plugs, they can foul out real easy in cold weather, and you never want to rev it up until you see at least a reading on the temp gauge i.e. 100 degrees. If you start it up and rev it it will load up the plugs.

When and if you can push start it like Demon said it will probaly sound like a 2 stroke (lawnmower) but haul *** to redline and it will burn that extra fuel off of the spark plugs. Dont be alarmed if it sounds like sh*t, if after you run it hard and it still sounds like *** then you will probaly need to replace plugs. That is definatly a plug problem.

But do you think it would be a good idea to go WOT right after bump starting it without letting the engine warm up at all? If you were to check the plugs and they did need to be replaced, or maybe even just cleaned, wouldn't that be a better option than redlining a cold engine?
