02 954. Guy stated it cut off while he was riding and he Parked it. No codes. Plugs have spark. Injectors puff a spray of fuel. Brand new battery. Fuel tank was empty, I put a gallon in it. Still smell bad fuel after cranking. It will not fire on starting fluid either. I ordered coils and stator rectifier before I started digging into it. As well as the Haynes manual. Is there anything someone can think of I can try while I wait on the manual? Pump primes fine. I'm at a loss. Went through every connector and ground on bike. Fuses are good also.

 

Has the ignition pulse generator been removed from the clutch cover? Sounds like the timing is off. Use a paperclip or piece of wire and short the service connector under the seat and see if there is any trouble codes in the computer.

 

No codes. Just the 9 when I unplug the iat. Coils stator and rectifier just replaced. I was crossing my fingers, but still nothing. Manual will be here before the weekend. I will hopefully figure it out then.

 

I will have to take a closer look at pulse generator.
