8.55 may not be enough. It needs to be a little over 9v. Without the right amount, it won't work.

I'd pick up a new, good quality ignition switch. You should be able to find the electrical part by itself. That way it will run or you will know that your ignition is sound.

Where are you located?

Rechecked the pink wire after charging the battery up some and it is now 9.6v on the pink wire. I still don't know what the next move is. Coils are working properly but I am getting no voltage out of the yellow wire on the gray connector or the IPG red wire.

Did you check for the keyed power at the coils/injectors?

I am located in Dayton, Ohio. I was thinking of replacing the ignition switch that way I can get a new cap and rear lock and have just one key and also rule out a possible issue. Any possible reason why I am not getting any reading from the yellow CDI wire or IPG plug.

Yes, the voltage with the ignition turned to on and the switch on run is 12.94 #1, 12.94 #2, 12.93 #3, 12.94 #4. Remember I dont have a peak voltage adaptor.

Have you checked all of the grounds?

I took the harness completely off and checked all plugs and cleaned the grounds and re hooked everything up. I don't think the harness or grounds are at fault. It could be the CDI of the ECM but that is unlikely as well. The relays and fuses have also been checked and are working properly and not blown.

The ecm is not a common failure part, but shouldnt be overlooked. It would be nice if you could borrow a known good one to test.

How far down was the motor? Could one of the pickups be damaged or something? I've heard of stuff like that happening.
